About J Wilson Books

At J Wilson Books, we believe in the power of storytelling to preserve legacy, inspire reflection, and spark meaningful conversations across generations. Our work bridges the past and present through emotionally resonant narratives built on real letters, history, and lived experience.

Our debut title, Jack’s Story, shares the unforgettable journey of a young WWII tank commander who led his men through one of the most dangerous missions of the Battle of the Bulge. Since its release, it has sparked a growing community of readers, veterans, educators, and families interested in preserving history with heart.

About the Authors

John and Janice Wilson are the authors and caretakers of Jack’s Story, a WWII memoir inspired by over 150 hidden letters and a lifetime of untold family stories. Together, they are building a multi-platform storytelling initiative that includes books, podcasts, video, and the Unwritten Heroes blog series.

Their approach is casual, heartfelt, and welcoming—designed to encourage intergenerational conversation and reflection on courage, leadership, and service.

About the Book

Jack’s Story is a personal memoir grounded in faith, family, and battlefield leadership. It follows the true account of a 23-year-old tank commander who took charge when his company was surrounded behind enemy lines.

Built on hundreds of wartime letters, official records, and personal archives, Jack’s Story offers an intimate glimpse into the human side of war—revealing what even the quietest heroes leave behind.

New Storytelling Series: Unwritten Heroes

In July 2025, John and Janice launched Unwritten Heroes, a blog and storytelling series dedicated to quiet acts of courage—past and present.

From WWII medics and fighter pilots to modern-day defenders of missile batteries and nuclear threats — these are the stories that history nearly forgot.

Some were famous. Most weren’t. But all of them served with courage.

We’re telling their stories now—while we still can.
