Uncovering the Past
At J Wilson Books, we’re not just authors — we’re John and Janice, storytellers of history. We uncover the truth in ordinary people’s lives and share narratives rooted in emotion, memory, and legacy.
John’s Role
John is the historian and voice behind the stories. His passion lies in connecting personal memory to historical moments, using deep research and handwritten letters to bring authenticity and clarity to each narrative. With a background in leadership and project management, he brings a rare blend of precision and heart to every project.

Janice’s Role
Janice is the strategist and architect of our shared vision. With decades in software engineering at IBM, Citrix, and Sun Microsystems, she brings clarity, innovation, and structure to J Wilson Books. She’s also the voice behind our travel blog, Travels with John and Janice, where we capture life’s adventures with warmth, wit, and wonder.
Bringing Stories to Life
At J Wilson Books, we specialize in bringing history to life — with stories that bridge the space between past and present. We don’t just preserve the facts; we honor the people who lived them. Our goal is to invite you into moments that mattered — moments that still echo today.
Our Journey Begins with Jack’s Story
Jack’s Story: 7th Armored Division Tank Commander World War II
Our debut book offers a vivid account of John’s father, Jack Wilson — a young tank commander who survived the Battle of the Bulge and helped stall the German advance at St. Vith. Drawing on over 100 wartime letters and personal recollections written in 1995, we meticulously validated the timeline with historical combat records.
It’s more than a war story.
It’s a son’s tribute.
A generation’s sacrifice.
A legacy preserved.
